The idea for this tattoo was unfortunately not mine, but I did design it, using a screenshot from (wait for it) (baited breath time)

Yes, another Zelda tattoo.
It's my first, perhaps not last, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I personally think the last heart would have been better if it was a hald or a quater, rather than the whiteish outline, but the idea is nice in itself, and it does look well :3
Like to see something different from triforces anyway!

It's from Link to the Past, my most favouritest Zelda game. There are no quarters in that. It IS a half heart.

haha, the artist was so cool. I made him redraw the design like four times. Cause I mean...this is on my body forEVER...so I wanted it PERFECT!

Plus he was totally hot. And did it perfectly. All the credit goes to him. :)

Haha, the only way I could ever do that is with Save States on the zsnes emulator...however I'm really sad and don't use save states, because I think it's cheating, unless I'm just running through the game quickly.
Either way I die like every ten minutes on LttP. It's a damn hard game!

A coheed tatt.
Well, well well. Someone just earned some major respekt. ;) My first idea was actually to get the fly, with the keyword grey in the background, on my hip...but though coheed are legendary, lifechanging...zelda is my LIFE. teehee. whatageek.
But it does look stunning.

That's just like the one I'm gonna get! Mine's gonna have four and a half hearts and a -LIFE- above it, in the original NES Zelda style, and it's gonna be right over my heart. Yours came out awesome though, we will have to compare when I stop chickening out and get mine done!

Don't chicken out, I'm not sure about whether it would apply for the positioning of yours but mine was soooooo unpainful. I actually wanted it to be worse, as I feel it would be...more rewarding...or...something! You know what I mean.
I like the -LIFE- idea, I was going to integrate that into mine, but decided I lied it plain and simple.

Go for it, hun, it'll look fantastic :) Plus the NES style hearts look wicked cool.

one of the things i REALLY like about this tattoo is not only how well it's done, but also how simple and spanning the idea is. people can appreciate this whether they like video games or not.

This sounds pathetic, but thank you so much for this comment; your opinion means a lot to me!

I am quite fond of the simplicity of it, and so far, the people who have recognised it think that it's great but even those who I know don't play video games still appreciate it. It's something I wouldn't mind showing off even when I'm much older.
